I've never really had a problem with my IT bands – those run from the outside of your knee up the side of your leg to your hip. The "syndrome" is pain anywhere along the band, but often near the knee or the hip. After reading a bit about IT band syndrome, I don't think that is what is bothering me. However, it can't hurt to do some of the recommended exercises to try to improve. Saturday I'm going to compile a "thereputic" exercise plan for myself, focusin on improving symptoms which may be bursitis, IT band syndrome, or merely discomfort.
