Video of Solar Dynamics Observatory launching on an Atlas V

I had a great view of the launch from just south of complex 41 as part of the "Emergency Response Team." This team includes representatives from the KSC fire department, ULA Pad Safety, NASA Launch Services Program Safety and Mission Assurance (me), Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).  After launch, the team waits until the pad is declared "fire safe" by pad safety before departing. 

My coworker took the pictures below, which came out great!  I took the video – one of the coolest things about the launch was that you could see ripples like wake in the water trailing behind the rocket, and when the sound reached us, it was LOUD!
